Have the land checked in person before you pay.
LandCheck's online check shows what maps and records say. Some things can only be confirmed on the ground. Tell us the land or property you want to buy, and LandCheck arranges a licensed surveyor, a lawyer and a local agent to check it, then sends you one dated case file.
Request an on-the-ground checkWho does what
Professionals working with LandCheck in Ghana. Each one reports what they found, when and how.
Licensed surveyor
Visits the plot, walks the boundaries, checks the pillars and takes fresh coordinates, then compares them with the seller's site plan and the official survey records.
Lawyer
Reviews the official search at the Lands Commission, checks the seller's title and authority to grant, and reviews or drafts the indenture.
Local agent
Talks to neighbours, the family or traditional authority and the Assembly Member, and looks for disputes, wall notices, land guards and signs of flooding.
